In the signature line "Your Name" is the name of the course administrator. This is the person who started the GradeBook service, and set up the course. For this test we will assume that you are authorized as a lab instructor. You received a username and a password from the administrator.![]()
To get started, you have to "Log in" first. Later, you will "Make changes" in the "lab" unit, check the result in "main" and also look at the class summary with full names.
When you click on "Log in" you get this:
Enter "tester" for username and "passpass" for password. Hit "ENTER" when finished. The next screen will be an acknowledgement:![]()
Return to the "Teacher's Page" and click on "lab" in "Make changes in the lab spreadsheet". The lab spreadsheet will open for you:![]()
There are already lots of numbers here. You may pick one, change it, and hit on "SAVE" to see your changes recorded. The "total" in that row will be recalculated with the new grade taken into account. To finish click on "DONE". Yet another acknowledgement comes:![]()
Go back to the teacher's page, and check out the "main page of the corse. You will see that the laboratory grade you just entered changed the value in the "lab" column, which, in turn, changes the course-total grade for this student. Click on "DONE" to finish.![]()
Up to this point, you "owned" the spreadsheet, and nobody else could have used it. However, if you want to review or print the standing of your students, you can use other options in the teacher's page, like the "Grades with fulllnames for the main...":![]()
If you use the same computer all the time, you do not have to log in to review grades. However, you will be requested to log in again if you want to change any of the grades.![]()
Keep in mind: The students will be able to see the grades on the WEB right away.
